Iconic engine and marine company opening new building in Albertville, Minnesota
BLOOMINGTON, MN, October 2024 – Medart Inc. – a third and fourth generation family-owned distributor in the engine, rental and outdoor equipment, and recreational marine industry headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri – is expanding to Albertville, Minnesota with a new 105,000 square foot building.
“We’re excited to grow in Albertville,” said Michael Medart, CEO and President at Medart Inc. “We are combining current operations from two separate leased facilities in Anoka into this one new much larger facility.”
As a wholesale distributor, Medart Inc. plays a vital role in connecting manufacturers with retailers and consumers. From 1912 to today, Medart has steadily grown into a major wholesale distributor in the recreational marine industry representing more than 125 manufacturers and 150 brands – and – the engine, rental, and outdoor power equipment industry with more than 100 manufacturers.

Medart’s search began by teaming with Dan and Stew Jensen of Kessinger Hunter, who started exploring options across the country and narrowing the list down to a few select sites that – ultimately – zeroed in on Albertville, Minnesota. To help verify the sites, Kessinger Hunter partnered with Gerry Norton and Justin Erickson of The Brookshire Company, who utilized the company’s advanced Labor Analytics tools to ensure a skilled workforce for Medart, and then worked closely with city and county leaders to help secure substantial financial incentives savings for their client.

Medart’s new building is set to become fully operational in early 2025.
