Brookshire facilitates operation expansion of Henry Repeating Arms in building sale and incentives
Bloomington, Minn – Gerry Norton, President and Managing Director of The Brookshire Company today announced that Henry Repeating Arms will open its second production facility in the state of Wisconsin with the recent acquisition of an 80,912 square foot facility in Ladysmith, WI. The Brookshire Company team worked with the City of Ladysmith, Rusk County, and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to secure a state financial incentive package tied to Henry Repeating Arm’s acquisition of the facility, committed capital expenditures and investment in growing the local labor force. The project will create 100 new jobs in Ladysmith.
Reaching maximum capacity at their facility in Rice Lake, Henry Repeating Arms was compelled to look for immediate options to service the manufacturing and distribution demand their business has experienced through recent rapid growth. The Brookshire Company represented Rusk County in the marketing of the facility and was able to help Henry Repeating Arms meet their spatial requirement. Realizing the investment Henry Repeating Arms would be needing in their future facility, The Brookshire Company was also able to structure incentives tied to their committed improvements and labor projections.
“Staking our flag at a new facility is the beginning of another exciting chapter in our company’s history, and we are wasting no time prepping the building for our machines,” said Andy Wickstrom, president of Henry Repeating Arms, in a news release. “We thank the state of Wisconsin and Rusk County officials for keeping the door open for us, and we look forward to adding members of another great Wisconsin community to our family.”
The new facility will allow for augmentation of the current Rice Lake facility while also increasing overall production capacity across both locations.
“We’re excited to see Henry Repeating Arms make a commitment to Ladysmith, WI and Rusk County. They are an employer we are eager to see grow in our community for years to come.” Added Andy Albarado, Rusk County Economic Development
